Fraxel Laser

Fraxel Dermatologist CincinnatiThis laser will improve skin tone and texture, and give the skin a more youthful appearance. It will reduce wrinkles around eyes, age spots, melasma, acne and surgical scars. It is a less aggressive form of skin resurfacing.

Patients use a topical anesthetic on the skin before the treatment and cold air is used on the treatment area during the procedure to minimize discomfort. After the treatment most patients report feeling similar to having too much sun. Downtime is minimal.

Redness and mild swelling should be expected following this treatment. Typically this laser is done in a series of 4 treatments, for optimal results.

Tattoo & Brown Spot Removal

Laser tattoo removal is a simple cosmetic procedure that allows unwanted tattoos to be removed through a series of laser treatments. Extremely short pulses of highly-focused light energy are directed at tattoo ink in the skin. When the correct wavelength of light and sufficient fluence (energy) is used, the tattoo ink will rapidly heat up and break into smaller pieces.

The body’s immune system will then remove these shattered particles and allow the tattoo to fade. Often, 3 to 10 sessions are needed to fade and remove a tattoo completely.

Variations in the number of sessions required are due mostly to factors specific to the tattoo (density, depth, type of ink, color of ink).

Laser Genesis

Laser Genesis is a noninvasive, restorative treatment, designed to eliminate wrinkles, large pores, and splotchy redness; all while improving the skin’s texture and tone. All areas of the face, neck, and body can see dramatic results from a Genesis treatment. There is little to NO downtime. Immediately following the treatment you may return to work and resume all normal activity. This procedure is indicated for all skin types.

Laser Hair Removal

Excel HR offers the most advanced premium hair removal solution for all skin types.

Because hair grows in cycles, a series of treatments is necessary to reduce hair growth 80% or more. It is important that you do NOT wax or pluck the hairs before treatment however it is ok to shave the area.

You may have some redness on the treated areas following the treatment. This can be done quickly at our office with no downtime.

ThermiTight

ThermiTight is the name of a peer-reviewed protocol described as “thermistor-controlled subdermal skin tightening.” The ThermiRF system is used along with a tiny thermistor probe, which is inserted under the skin using local anesthesia, to heat subdermal tissues to a user-selected specific temperature. During the ThermiTight procedure, internal temperatures are monitored and regulated by the system computer.

In addition, advanced thermal image guidance provides the physician with real time external skin temperature monitoring to ensure presicion of the heating effect while maintaining safety. ThermiTight treatment areas include: neck, breasts, arms, abdomen, thighs and knees. This is a painless, single treatment solution. There is little to no downtime.

ThermiSmooth Face

ThermiSmooth Face is performed using a specially designed thermistor-regulated hand piece, which delivers precise heating to the skin’s surface. There are a series of treatments over 6-8 weeks that are gentle and patients often say it feels like receiving a warming massage. This is gentle heating using temperature controlled radiofrequency energy, to stimulate collagen remodeling.

This procedure is non-invasive and has no downtime. A series of 3-6 treatments are often needed for maximum results. ThermiSmooth Face treatment areas include: forehead, cheeks, eyes and mouth.

ThermiVa

Childbirth and the natural aging process cause changes which may affect feminine wellness. A particularly strenuous vaginal childbirth, or multiple births, can cause stretching of the vagina. The effects of menopause can also cause physical and functional changes, such as excessive dryness. Both situations can rob women (and their partners) of their sense of well-being and happiness.

ThermiVa treatments use radiofrequency energy to gently heat tissue to rejuvenate collagen, without discomfort or downtime. A recent study documented multiple benefits for patients who complained about vaginal laxity and other issues associated with vulvovaginal youthfulness and well-being.

Botox®/Dysport®

Botox and Dysport work by temporarily relaxing the muscles which cause frowning and undesired facial lines. Botox and Dysport are great for treating frown lines between the brows.

They are FDA approved for the treatment of glabellar frown lines and are also commonly used around the eyes and forehead.  The treatment is quickly performed in the office with no downtime and usually lasts 3-6 months.  Patients often notice that they appear more youthful and rested once their frown lines are gone.

Botox is also used for the symptoms of severe underarm sweating when medicines used on the skin (topical) do not work well enough in people 18 and older.  Botox injections are expected to temporarily stop the production of excessive sweat in the treated areas only.  Sweat continues to be produced elsewhere.  This treatment typically lasts 6-9 months.

Both Botox and Dysport are derived from botulinum toxin Type A and are administered by a healthcare professional as a simple, nonsurgical treatment. Individually, they are injected directly into the muscles and work by blocking nerve impulses to the injected areas.  Dr. Grevey and his staff can help you determine which product is right for you.

Fillers

Restylane®, Perlane®, Juvéderm®, and Belotero® are used to treat unwanted lines and restore volume in the cheeks, lips and around the mouth.  As we age, fat is lost and bone is resorbed, producing sagging skin and unwanted lines. Filling agents placed in the proper places can help restore your natural youthful volume. Fillers can be done quickly and there is no downtime.

Restylane and Perlane are both a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid that are specifically formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid. Used individually, they add volume and fullness to the skin to correct facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth. Both Restylane and Perlane can also add fullness and definition to lips, providing natural-looking and lasting results with just one treatment. Restylane and Perlane can last up to 9-12 months and work immediately.

Juvéderm diminishes wrinkles around your mouth and nose with just one treatment, you’ll get smooth and natural-looking results that can last up to a year.

Belotero Dermal Filler has unique properties that allow it to adapt within the skin for soft and even correction. Belotero is versitile and is soft enough to treat delicate areas such as the thin lines that appear above the lip line and strong enough to handle deep treatment areas such as smile lines around the mouth. Belotero works instantly and can last up to 6 months.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peeling is a process whereby a chemical solution is applied to the surface of the skin to peel away the top cell layers which will be replaced during the healing process with a fresh, new skin surface.

Chemical peels can help with facial wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, excessive pigmentation, melasma, sun damaged skin, or for those who just want to achieve a more beautiful, glowing complexion.  We offer many different types of chemical peels to better help meet your needs.

Call our office today to schedule a consultation to find out which peel would benefit you.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a technique that has been around for decades to treat spider veins and some smaller varicose veins.  This procedure involves injecting a sclerosing solution directly into the small veins.

This irritates the blood vessel, causing it to seal off so blood can no longer pass through the vein.  This procedure is very effective with minimal discomfort and essentially no downtime.

We recommend wearing a pressure bandage, such as pressure stockings, for 48 hours following the procedure.  A series of treatments is often necessary to obtain maximum results.

Fractionated CO2 Laser

The Fractionated carbon dioxide laser removes layers of skin tissue in a fractionated method (columns of skin are removed, leaving the skin surrounding each column in tact to aid in healing) to treat the skin tone and texture, sun damaged skin, and age spots.

This procedure is performed in our office using topical and local anesthesia.  Often the use of pain and or relaxation medications are utilized during the procedure.  Typically one laser treatment will achieve the desired outcome.

Excel V Laser

Excel V is a new, state-of-the-art laser technology for treating vascular skin conditions such as Rosacea, spider veins, telangiectasias, leg veins,  and pigmented lesions including sunspots. Excel V has the flexibility to treat superficial and deep vascular conditions as well as benign pigmented lesions. The Excel V Laser System uses a high power green laser to target abnormal blood vessels and pigment in the skin. As these vessels or pigment cells are targeted, they are eliminated and skin is returned to it’s natural color and tone. Excel V uses new cooling technologies which produce continuous cooling before, during and after the laser pulse. You can expect some redness and swelling following the procedure. This may last a few days, however you may cover the areas treated with make-up if you wish. This procedure is indicated for all skin types.

Blepharoplasty

Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to remove excess skin from the upper and/or lower eyelids. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty improves puffy lower eyelid “bags” and reduces wrinkling of the skin.

When an advanced amount of upper eyelid skin is present, the skin may protrude over the eyelashes and cause a loss of peripheral vision. The outer and upper parts of the visual field are most commonly affected and the condition may cause difficulty with activities such as driving or reading.

In this circumstance, upper eyelid blepharoplasty is performed to improve peripheral vision. Both of these procedures can be done in our office utilizing local anesthetic.

After the procedure, patients can expect some bruising and/or swelling that will gradually improve the next week.

Brow Lift

A brow lift, also known as a forehead lift, minimizes the wrinkle lines that develop across the forehead, as well as those that occur on the bridge of the nose and between the eyes.  This procedure improves what are commonly referred to as frown lines, and re-positions a low and sagging brow.

The brow lift procedure will also open the eyes for a more youthful appearance.  This procedure is performed in our office using local anesthesia.
